Spiral coil spring
A spiral coil spring is a type of spring made of rectangular metal strips wound into a flat spiral. These springs are designed to store and release rotational energy in the form of torque. One of the most popular types of helical springs is the constant helical spring, so named because they exert a nearly constant binding force that is resistant to expansion, so that when the bar is stretched, the inherent stress is resistant to the load at a technically constant rate.
