Strong torsion spring

The strong torsion spring is a kind of mechanical component with strong torsional force and elastic recovery ability. It is usually made of high-strength metal materials, and its design and manufacture are aimed at being able to withstand large torque and repeated torsional movements, while maintaining good elastic performance and durability.

The strong torsion spring is a kind of spring that utilizes the lever principle and has great mechanical energy by twisting or rotating the elastic material with soft texture and high toughness.

The strong torsion spring can store and release energy, or statically fix the mechanism by deflecting the supporting legs around the axis of the centerline of the main body. They can resist the forces exerted by torsion or rotation.

The strong torsion spring is a spring that applies torque or rotational force. The ends of the torsion spring are connected to other components. When these components rotate around the center of the spring, the spring will attempt to push them back to their original positions.

Although the name suggests otherwise, torsion springs are subjected to bending stress rather than torsional stress. Such springs usually have closed windings, but may have a pitch to reduce the friction between the coils. They can resist the forces exerted by torsion or rotation.

Features of the powerful torsion spring:

  1. Powerful: The powerful torsion spring has high mechanical strength and toughness, and can withstand a large torsional moment.
  2. Stability: Due to its unique structural design, the powerful torsion spring can maintain stable performance when subjected to external forces, and is not prone to deformation or failure.
  3. Durability: The powerful torsion spring made of high-quality materials has a long service life and can work normally in harsh environments.

Compared with ordinary torsion springs, powerful torsion springs have a higher elastic coefficient and carrying capacity, which enables them to function under more demanding working conditions and meet the application scenarios with higher requirements for torque and elastic recovery force.

Advantages of strong torsion spring:

  1. High torque output: It is capable of providing a large torque, thereby meeting the needs of complex mechanical systems.
  2. Long lifespan: Carefully designed and manufactured, it has excellent durability and anti-fatigue performance.
  3. High precision: It can achieve precise torsion angles and torque control.

When choosing a suitable strong torsion spring, the following several factors need to be considered:

Load requirements

Determine the maximum torque it can withstand and the working torque range. For example, if it is used in the car shock absorption system, the required torque needs to be calculated based on the weight of the vehicle and the driving conditions.

Space limitations

Measure the available space dimensions for installing the spring, including the length, diameter and angle range. If the space is limited, it is necessary to choose a spring with a small volume but still capable of providing torque, and ensure that the strong torsion spring will not interfere with other components after installation.

Material characteristics

Different materials have different strengths, corrosion resistance and fatigue life. Common materials such as spring steel, stainless steel, etc. If the application environment is corrosive, it may be necessary to choose stainless steel springs.

Working environment

Understand the working temperature range. High or low temperature environments may affect the performance of the spring. For example, in high-temperature industrial furnace equipment, spring materials that can withstand high temperatures need to be selected.

Lifespan requirements

Based on the frequency and importance of the application, determine the required lifespan of the spring. Lifespan can be estimated through simulation tests or by referring to the experience of similar applications.

Precision requirements

If the control precision requirements for the torsion angle and torque are high, it is necessary to choose a spring with high manufacturing precision.

Cost factor

Under the premise of meeting the performance requirements, consider the cost of the spring. When in mass production, cost control is particularly important.
